Claire Pinegar is a live-action, 2D animation and mixed-media director creating commercials, branded content docs, explainer films, music videos and just about anything that moves.

Her work has a handcrafted charm and innate warmth. She approaches every project with heart-led authenticity and craft, putting every bit of passion into each brief. Claire has come up through 15 years in design, animation, post-production and motion graphics and has plenty of industry experience on all sides of production.

Her work includes documentary shorts for Red Bull Surfing and Guardian Labs, TVC’s for various brands and non-profits and a narrative music video for Andreya Triana. Other clients include McCann, McDonalds, Gojek and NSPCC. Claire is flexible to to scale to the demands of each individual project, working with global agencies such as Havas and AMV BBDO down to small charities such as Read For Good, taking whole projects from concept to delivery. She loves working on projects that promote positive social and environmental change.

Claire is very keen to take her filmmaking skills beyond commercials and into narrative. She has directed her first short via the Mister Tibbs, Phoebe Francis Brown Fund, ‘Contemplating Motherhood’ and has written her own short ‘Seagulls’ which she is hoping to fund and shoot in the near future.

She has also just completed a 6 month Intimacy Coordination course at NFTS and hopes to continue her journey in the role.

Claire lives in Liverpool and loves local projects but is very happy to travel.
